Paralegal / Legal Executive / Legal Manager (Dispute Resolution)

Description

Ascentsia Law Corp invites applications for the position of Paralegal, Legal Executive, or Legal Manager to join our Dispute Resolution department. The successful candidates will provide essential support to our legal team, primarily handling matters in civil litigation and insolvency.

The position offered will be tailored to commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lawyers in managing case files from inception to completion.

• Draft, prepare, and file legal and court documents (e.g., originating claims, pleadings, affidavits).

• Conduct legal research and retrieve relevant case laws and statutes.

• Manage court diaries, monitor deadlines, and coordinate schedules for hearings and meetings.

• Prepare bundles of documents for court hearings and client meetings.

• Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court registry staff, and other relevant parties.

• Provide administrative support for insolvency matters, including preparing proofs of debt and assisting with statutory filings.

Requirements:

• A Diploma in Law, a Law Degree, or equivalent legal qualifications.

• Relevant experience in a law firm's dispute resolution or insolvency practice is preferred.

  • Paralegal: Candidates with or without direct experience are welcome to apply.

  • Legal Executive / Legal Manager: A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is expected.

• Proficient in using e-Litigation and other relevant legal software.

• Strong command of written and spoken English.

• Meticulous, well-organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
